Receiver and Inventory Coordinator

About the Job
Demand for our beautiful, custom-designed cabinetry continues to grow. At Merit Kitchens, the Receiver and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading, and inspection of incoming goods, as well as inputting the goods into the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
  • Receiving and signing for deliveries, entering PO numbers into ERP system.
  • Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
  • Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
  • Support the production team.

Job Requirements:
  • A valid forklift ticket (experience is an asset).
  • Computer skills (Excel experience is an asset).
  • English comprehension skills for learning and safety.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, etc. for 8 hours a day.
  • Time management, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced group environment.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Experience in a related field is considered an asset.
